Here are some of my notable career highlights: * In 18 months at Children’s Mercy Kansas City, converted Critical Care and Anesthesia faculty from outsourced to employed model; completed partnership with federally qualified health center to improve patient access in underserved area; expanded diversity, equity, and inclusion work to include data-driven decision-making; and completed and began implementation of enterprise-wide strategic plan. * In the 5 years at Arkansas Children’s, began and completed ambitious organizational five-year strategic plan, successfully negotiated strategic research and college of medicine affiliation agreement with academic partner; developed business plan for building and operating new children’s hospital in Northwest Arkansas, opened in February 2018; established and led the nation’s first statewide pediatric clinically integrated network now managing 250,000+ lives; established and led new medical group; restructured Marketing and Communications department to support re-branding effort and new priorities; and established the telehealth department. * At Mercy, exceeded operating margin goal by 9% by conducting operations with a high degree of managerial accountability and implementing accountable care teams (ACT) to address all risk arrangements.
